They really beat the piss out of those poor, expensive, lovable vehicles. I am seriously impressed. Totally gave me a Top Gear fix for this weekend.

I still can't quite believe that actually happened. How did that conversation go do?
Frieburger: "Hey, can we have a Hellcat?"
Dodge: "Sure! Have both!"
Frieburger: "Can we Hoon them?"
Dodge: "But of course!"
Frieburger: "Even off road on a motocross track?"
Dodge: "Yupp, knock yourself out. Also, here's a Viper for good measure."

Lol, it's a service being provided.
They were probably test mules or press cars that were going to be put down anyway. Still, gotta hand it to Chrysler, what a way to send em off.

Heck yeah it is quite the send off. To be honest, I felt bad for the Viper- as they are hand assembled.

Seriously... That disclaimer about mechanical sympathy (or lack thereof) was very much warranted.

The cars were most likely going to get crushed, Dodge prolly figured that giving the cars a good send off is more valiant than just crushing them. I like the prospect that Freiburger alluded to the possibility of a roadkill Hellcat engine swap. . . Definitely don't really feel bad since those cars are straight from Dodge.
